Day 1 Arrival to Tangier

Overnight in: Tangier.
Meals: Breakfast
Optional(s): Arrival Fast Track.

As you arrive in Tangier, your Morocco Travels And Trips driver will meet you at Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport or at the Port of Tangier. You will then be escorted to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Tangier.

Day 2 Tangier - Chefchaouen

After breakfast in Tangier, enjoy a guided city tour of this vibrant gateway between Africa and Europe. Explore Tangier’s highlights, including the Kasbah, the Medina, the bustling Petit and Grand Socco squares, and panoramic views over the Strait of Gibraltar. Your guide will share the city’s fascinating history, blending Moroccan, Andalusian, and international influences.

Depart Tangier and travel toward Chefchaouen along scenic roads through northern Morocco. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way, enjoying traditional Moroccan cuisine and relaxing views of the countryside.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, enjoy a guided city tour before hotel check-in. Explore the city’s famous blue-painted streets, the Kasbah, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and vibrant local markets, immersing yourself in the unique charm of this picturesque mountain town.

Day 3 Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fès

After breakfast, depart from Chefchaouen and journey south through the beautiful Rif Mountains toward the imperial heart of Morocco. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of lush valleys, olive groves, and traditional Berber villages.

Your first stop will be the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most well-preserved archaeological sites in North Africa. With your local expert guide, explore the fascinating remains of this Roman city — its grand arches, intricate mosaics, temples, and the Capitol — and learn about Morocco’s rich and layered history that dates back over 2,000 years.

Continue your journey to the imperial city of Meknes, another UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most historic cities. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant, featuring regional specialties and fresh local ingredients.

After lunch, meet your local guide for a city tour of Meknes, once the glorious capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century. Visit the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate, one of Morocco’s most impressive city gates, and explore El Hedim Square, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, known for its beautiful architecture and spiritual significance.

In the late afternoon, depart Meknes and continue your journey to Fes, where you will arrive in the evening and check in at your hotel.

Day 4 Fez City tour

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy your Fez Full day City tour. The imperial city of Fes is the city that most reflects the ancestral past of the Moroccan kingdom and its ancient civilization. It was and still remains the core of the intellectual and spiritual creativity, not only in Morocco, but also in the Islamic world. Fes houses the oldest university in the world, Al Quaraouiyyne and its ancient medina was classified as Universal Heritage by UNESCO in 1981.

The medina: Traditionally your exploration of the medina should start at the Bab Boujlloud Gate. The first monument to visit is the vast Bou Inania medersa. As you continue along Talaa Kebira Street (big climb), you will particularly admire the Tijani zaouïa (zaouïa, sanctuary of a religious brotherhood) and the instrument makers’ souk before arriving at the mzara (shrine) of the ancient sovereign Moulay Idriss situated at the place where he took the decision to build the town. Once you have passed the babouche vendors, you arrive in En-Nejjarine Square and the cabinetmakers’ souk. The magnificent carved foundouk (caravanserai) on the square houses the Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts. The kissaria (covered market), where jewellery and fine fabrics are on sold, is nearby (it is shut at night). Next to it, you can admire the most visited and revered attraction in Fès: the zaouïa of Moulay Idriss, founder of the town. Your walk continues on to Es-Seffarine Square, the coppersmith square, and then to the tanners’ quarter situated just before the Andalusian quarter with its mosque and the Es-Sahrij medersa.

Medresas: A Medersa is a school where the Koran is taught along with all the classic subject of learning: mathematics, grammar, history, astronomy, medicine… In Morocco, and especially in Fès, medersas have the important role of integrating students from other regions. Generally, they are built around a central courtyard with a fountain.

El-Attarine : The Merenids built this masterpiece between 1323 and 1325. Its central courtyard is magnificently decorated. Its walls are covered with sura engraved in wood or plaster. The fountain and marble columns are embellished with zellige (tiled mosaic).

Bou Inania : This Medersa, built between 1350 and 1357, is the biggest in Fès . Pass through the magnificent entrance with its heavy copper work doors, and then be impressed by the abundance of earthenware, the refinement of the sculptured wood and plaster and the chiselled stalactites called mukarnas, the hallmark of Merenid architecture. A canopy of typical Fès green tiles surmounts the onyx and marble courtyard.

Day 5 Fes - Rabat

Overnight in: Rabat

After breakfast, we will leave Fes towards Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. On the route, stop at one of Morocco’s lesser-visited "Meknes". It was built by Moulay Ismail and was conceived to be the ‘Versailles of Morocco’. The land of spirituality and holiness. This city is well known for having huge amazing big gate doors made of carved wood you’ll be able to visit Lhri. We will then continue our way to Rabat.

Upon arrival to Rabat, join your tour guide of the city. Rabat was founded by Abd Al-Mu’min, a ruler of the Almohad dynasty for military reasons. It was built to serve as a fortress, hence its original name Ribatu l-Fath, meaning “stronghold of victory”.  Our guided tour in Rabat will then revolve around uncovering the history of Rabat. The tour includes a visit to the Royal Palace, Chella, Hassan Tower, and Kasbah Ouddaya. Free time afterward to stroll around the souks and bazaars in the old medina of Rabat which are full of all types of merchandise as well as leather-made traditional and moder shoes alongside Moroccan styles bags with some authentic Berber style and old jewelry shops. Then, Continue to “Café “on the bank of river Bouregrag. Transfer to your hotel in Rabat for check-in and free evening.

After breakfast in Fes, depart for Rabat via the highway, enjoying a smooth and comfortable drive between Morocco’s imperial cities. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour highlighting the city’s most iconic landmarks. Rabat was founded by Abd Al-Mu’min, a ruler of the Almohad dynasty for military reasons. Day 6 Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast in Rabat, depart for Casablanca, Morocco’s largest and most cosmopolitan city. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour showcasing Casablanca’s modern and historic highlights.

Visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, renowned for its stunning architecture and oceanfront location. Continue to explore the Corniche, the vibrant seaside district, and admire the art-deco architecture in the city center. Stroll through United Nations Square and learn about Casablanca’s blend of tradition and modernity from your knowledgeable guide.

Day 7 Casablanca – Marrakech

After breakfast in Casablanca, depart for Marrakech. Enjoy a comfortable drive through Morocco’s scenic landscapes, traveling between the country’s largest city and the vibrant “Red City.”

Upon arrival in Marrakech, check in at your hotel and take some time to rest and freshen up. In the evening, you may choose to enjoy an optional dinner with a traditional Moroccan show, featuring local cuisine, live music, and folkloric performances, offering a perfect introduction to the city’s rich culture and lively atmosphere.

Day 8 Marrakech City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver guide will pick you up to start your guided tour. Today you will get the chance to wake up and live Marrakech, a dream of many, so be sure to make the best of it. Start with the tropical Majorelle Gardens, lovingly restored under the patronage of the late Yves St. Laurent. Continue to the defining landmark of Marrakech is the 12th-century tiled minaret of the Koutoubia mosque.

Visit Palais Bahia, a 19th century palace boasts a large courtyard, beautiful fountains, tiles, ornate wall-carvings, gardens, and is an excellent spot to find tranquillity and marvel at traditional Moroccan craftsmanship.

Optional Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the medieval Medersa ben Youssef (koranic university) – one of the finest Islamic monuments in North Africa. Explore the colourful Souks (marketplaces) of Marrakech. Each trade – spices, carpets, jewellery, enamel, copper, brass, and cedar – is situated in its unique quarter.

In the early evening, head towards the frenetic Djemaa el Fnaa. It provides ever-changing entertainment, reaching its climax at sunset when the square is alive with storytellers, healers, snake charmers, acrobats, and countless food stalls. We recommend a drink in one of the terraces overlooking the square.

Day 9 Marrakech – Departure
